Nyligen bytte datorspelet Project Entropia namn till Entropia Universe. Namnbytet markerade övergången från ett MMORPG-projekt till ett riktigt parallellt.

Hursomhelst så skrolla jag igenom sidan och stötte på Project Entropia (numera Entropia Universe enligt wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entropia_Universe) vilket tog mig tillbaka till tiden då en polare till mig var ute med den där jädrans blåa apparaten i spelet och letade efter loot medan man i huvudchatten kunde läsa i textflödet om andra som hittat tonvis med PED (spelets inbyggda valuta). I understand that "Project Entropia" was meant to be a project that introduced concepts we had never seen in the virtual world before. But it was, for me, an abject failure. Giving control over small swaths of land to players (LAs, TI, FOMA, etc) was an awesome idea.
