The Louisiana Chapter of the organized Black caucus of the United Methodist Church. We are one BMCR members then met at the school and read stories about African-American issues and heroes to the kindergarten and first graders. “It’s easy to paint a wall or clean up a building, but BMCR believes in reaching out to the community, to serving children, and to promoting justice and wholeness in authentic ways that nurture relationship and faith-sharing,” she said. We exist to pursue the never-ending goal of advocating for the interests and needs of Black clergy and laity in the United Methodist Church. The national BMCR caucus advocates for the interests and inclusivity of blacks in the general church structures, while members of its jurisdictional and annual conference caucuses do likewise in their areas.
